Pre-Production Services

New product introductions for engineers have unique characteristics. It is not always possible to completely foresee and understand all component interactions in the final product.

Given this challenge, Connecticut Plastics offers a unique free service. We are glad to run an initial batch of components on the front end of a larger order. We can temporarily suspend production until the customer has had the opportunity to inspect and functionally test the assembly.

An important advantage of this program is the avoidance of prototype quantities. Per-piece price in prototype lots can be expensive, as the fixed setup raises the cost when distributed over the prototype lot.

We are also happy to extend this program for new customers as an assurance that the quality will meet expectations. The customer is able to maintain the lower cost associated with a full production run while gaining the opportunity of inspecting a small quantity.
