From wiring to piping, these moldable materials meet the demand.

This group of fluoro-based thermoplastics offers a unique balance of properties facilitating excellent workability and moldability by extrusion or conventional processing.

Common Properties
• Broad thermal capabilities at both low and high temperature extreme
• Very low moisture absorption
• Mechanically tough
• Chemical, flame and weather resistant
• Excellent dielectric properties

CTFE (Chlorotrifluoroethylene homopolymer)

Properties
• High compression strength
• Will not deform under load at room temperature
• Low cold-flow properties
• Very low gas permeability

Applications

FEP (Hexafluoropropylene and tetrafluoroethylene copolymer)

Properties
• Continuous service at temperatures up to 400°F (200°C).
• Low smoke generation
• Low co-efficient of friction
• UL 910 rating

Applications
• Wire and cable insulator
• Wiring applications requiring high speed communications
• Limited jacketing (e.g. plenum)
• Powder paint

PFA (Tetrafluoroethylene and Perfluoroalkoxy copolymer)

• Transparent
• High purity
• Excellent chemical stability
• Withstands temperatures up to 260°F continuous use

TEFZEL® (Modified tetrafluoroethylene and ethylene copolymer)

Properties
• Translucent
• Intermediate flow rate
• Excellent stiffness and impact strength
• Abrasion resistant
• Low dielectric constant
• Continuous service temp of 302°F (150°C)
• Flame rating UL94 V-0
