This group of fluoro-based thermoplastics offers a unique balance of properties facilitating excellent workability and moldability by extrusion or conventional processing.

Common Properties
 
  • Broad thermal capabilities at both low and high temperature extreme

  • Very low moisture absorption

  • Mechanically tough

  • Chemical, flame and weather resistant

  • Excellent dielectric properties
     

Tefzel (Modified tetrafluoroethylene and ethylene copolymer)
Properties
 
  • High compression strength

  • Will not deform under load at room temperature

  • Low cold-flow properties

  • Very low gas permeability
     

FEP (Hexafluoropropylene and tetrafluoroethylene copolymer)
 
Properties
 
  • Continuous service at temperatures up to 400°F (200°C).

  • Low smoke generation

  • Low co-efficient of friction

  • UL 910 rating

  • Translucent

  • Intermediate flow rate

  • Continuous service temp of 302°F (150°C)
